School HolidaySchool Closed - Monday, February 15, 2010 Monterey Trail High School will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2010 in observance of Washington's birthday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 16th. Have a safe holiday weekend! Upcoming EventsThe first MTHS ComedySportz competition will be held on Wednesday, February 10 at 7 PM in the MTHS Black Box Theatre. ComedySportz isn't comedy about sports, but comedy played as a sport. ComedySportz is improvised comedy based on audience suggestions, and in some games, audience participation. Tickets are $3 for students / senior citizens / children and $5 for adults. For more information, please contact MTHS Theatre Program Director Sara Townsend by calling 688-0050, ext. 4274. Auditions for the spring musical, Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA the School Edition, will be February 16-18 at 3:30 PM in the MTHS Black Box Theatre. Auditions are open to all MTHS students with a 2.0 GPA. Students auditioning for the play will learn songs and dances from the show. Rehearsals are after school. There will be five performances beginning April 30 and ending May 8. For more information about the auditions or the play, please contact director Sara Townsend in HE 5.
