One of the most important features of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is providing an opportunity for parent, community, teachers, staff, and students voices to be heard as important EGUSD decisions are being made regarding academic priorities and budget. LCFF provides a framework for districts to work with their communities and implement locally tailored approaches to achieve greater student outcomes. EGUSD is in the process of soliciting input from ALL of its stakeholders. Low Cost Internet Available

If your child is eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program, you may qualify to receive internet for $9.95 per month.

To qualify for $9.95 a month Internet service and a low-cost computer, your household must meet all these criteria:

  1. Be located where Comcast offers Internet service
  2. Have at least one child eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program
  3. Have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days
  4. Not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment
  5. Call 1-855-8-INTERNET (1-855-846-8376) to request an application

MTHS "Boots up" Corral

Sign up at the Friday night Mustang Varsity Football Games to sit in our special endzone seating at the” Boots up” Corral.  You will be behind the endzone on a  couch that seats 3 comfortably, and served pizza and a beverage.  Seating will be either 1st and 2nd quarters or 3rd and 4th quarters.  This is a silent auction so remember to look for a Cheerleader to sign up during games and listen to the announcer!  Email Coach Maggie with any questions at  GO MUSTANGS!


Graduation Cap and Gown Ordering Information

Seniors and Parents of Seniors,

Josten's will be the supplier of caps and gowns and other graduation items for the Class  of 2016.  Information will be distributed during Advocacy on September 10th.  You may order/purchase graduation paraphernalia on September 17th from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Multipurpose Room (cafeteria).  You can also visit the web site for more information.

Senior Trip


Senior trip & bus sign-ups

  • The Senior Trip to Great America is now on sale for $80 w/ASB & $85 w/out ASB. A signed permission slip required at time of purchase- permission slips can be found in the cafeteria on the class bulletin board.
  • Bus sign-ups for senior trip will be on Tuesday September 15th . In order to be able to sign- up for a bus you must have purchased the trip in either the senior packet or individually ($80 w/ASB & $85 w/out ASB) before the 15th . Senior Ball Date Change

Seniors and Parents,

Please note there has been a date change for Senior Ball in the spring. The event will be held on Saturday April 23rd at the Sacramento Convention Center. The date change does not affect the price.

Back To School Night - Tuesday, August 25th

Monterey Trail High School is excited to welcome the parents and guardians of our students to Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 25th The Mustang band and cheer squad will welcome everyone in the gym at 6PM, where parents will meet the Principal Durham and receive a brief explanation of the night.  In addition to meeting teachers and learning about the classes of their students, parents will also learn more about:


  • School Loop

  • Clubs and Activities

  • Parent Project

  • School Site Council

  • Purchasing ASB cards and Mustang spirit wear

As a reminder to the parents of our 9th grade students, any access to School Loop from middle school does not carry over to Monterey Trail High School.  There will be a table set up to assist parents with the process. Parents and guardians have a chance of winning a tablet for their student by signing up for, or signing into, School Loop.  Join us TONIGHT, from 6-8PM.

Helpful Hints

  • People to ask - teachers, counselor, administrator, clergy person, volunteer coordinator, employer, coach
  • Give the writer at least 2 weeks to write the letter
  • Always ask for more letters than you need - if you need 2 letters, ask at least 4 people
  • Always acknowledge the letter with a "Thank You"
