One of the most important features of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is providing an opportunity for parent, community, teachers, staff, and students voices to be heard as important EGUSD decisions are being made regarding academic priorities and budget. LCFF provides a framework for districts to work with their communities and implement locally tailored approaches to achieve greater student outcomes. EGUSD is in the process of soliciting input from ALL of its stakeholders. Low Cost Internet Available

If your child is eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program, you may qualify to receive internet for $9.95 per month.

To qualify for $9.95 a month Internet service and a low-cost computer, your household must meet all these criteria:

  1. Be located where Comcast offers Internet service
  2. Have at least one child eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program
  3. Have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days
  4. Not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment
  5. Call 1-855-8-INTERNET (1-855-846-8376) to request an application

The MTHS Main Office is open throughout the summer, with new student registrations on Wednesdays. You can pick up an enrollment packet during the week, Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 12:30pm. (The office is closed the week of July 4th.) Student enrolling during the summer will have Course Selection opportunities in late July – please note the date/time you are given at the time of enrollment. 

FALL Sports

Students interested in Fall sports – please check out our athletics page for more info and pick up an athletic packet just outside our athletic office or in the main office. 

WORK PERMITS during the summer

Work permits are available all summer (please see office hours above.) Summer permits are not based on grades/attendance, but when students return to school in August, permits are only administered to students with a 2.0 GPA, with no F’s, and strong attendance during Term 4 of the previous school year. Please see full details posted to the homepage of in the right hand column. 


This year our graduation video will once again be produced by the Franklin High School Wildcats production academy.  Visit the Franklin High School Webstore to purchase your DVD of the Monterey Trail High School graduation for the Class of 2016 by clicking here.  DVDs are $20 which includes mailing the DVD to your home. 

MTHS Headline News


The class of 2017 Senior Package is available for purchase starting Aug 1st! This package offers senior and their families the opportunities to purchase all the senior class events at discounted rates. The package can be purchased in entirety or in a 3 payment plan. The attached forms explain the package and how it works, and have all the permission slips for a few of the events. To purchase simply print and sign the 3 forms and bring your payment into the school's front office during business hours.

What's Happening?

CAHSEE Update - Diploma Information

  1. If you are a former student didn’t graduate due to low CASHEE scores they need to contact the Registrar’s Office at 916-688-0050 and speak to Debbie Gonzalez.
  2. Diplomas will need to be picked up at the Registrar’s office after showing valid ID.  Former MTHS student ID is not necessary.
  3. Diplomas can be picked up from 7:30am -3:00pm.
